The three kinds, and who is best at each
1. Specialty cold brew, $5–$8 a bottle. Steeped for the better part of a day, low acidity, made by people who care a great deal. Dutch Colony Coffee Co., Nineteen95, Cowpresso, Bootstrap Beverages, Round Boy Roasters and Wake The Crew are the names worth knowing. If what you want is the best-crafted bottle of coffee in Singapore, buy from them. It is a fair price for a process that takes twenty hours.
2. Supermarket ready-to-drink, $2–$4 a can. Georgia, Nescafe, Key Coffee, UCC. Built for shelf life, which is a real engineering achievement and also the reason they taste the way they do. Best if you want coffee at 11pm from a convenience store.
3. Bulk-first fresh bottles, $3.90 a bottle. One product, ten at a time, made to order and delivered chilled. That is what we do. Best if the problem you are solving is "the office fridge is empty again" rather than "I would like to taste the terroir."
Where we are actually best
Price per bottle, in bulk, for fresh coffee delivered to your door. $3.90, flat, at any volume. There are no tiers to negotiate and no quote form to fill in, because the price does not change.
We are cheaper than specialty cold brew for a reason that is not "we cut corners on the water". It is that we make one thing, sell it ten at a time, deliver it on one day a week, and do not have a cafe to pay for. The ratio is the part we spend on.
What we are not best at
Cold brew — we do not make it, and the people above are better at it than we would be. Single bottles — we do not sell them, because delivery costs the same either way. Variety — there is one product. Sugar-free — no.
